Drill Dojo Doodles

creativity, inspiration, INNOVATION, and Where Ideas Come from Part 7

I’m back. I couldn’t believe it had been over 2 months since my last entry. But since then I’ve completed/delivered 10 high school visual designs (I’ll write about that later in another entry), had a university band camp, designed 5 university shows, gone on an away band trip, took another trip to New York to see Madam Butterfly at the Met (more blog material), visited the Guggenheim, oh and I’ve taught class and some other stuff.

In Part 6, I promised I would circle back around to some of the logos I presented and that’s what I’m going to do here. As I established in Part 1 of this series, innovation is taking creative ideas and making them happen.

Here are some of the logos and then a screen shot of how I imagined them in drill design.

Although very clinical and not considering show theme or even flow, this type of thinking/exercise can be very helpful. Thanks for reading along and please leave any thoughts you may have in the comments. — DB
